Midsummer night’s dream there's definitely another and different tone than any other shakespeare novel we/i have read. There's not only the comedy but the seriousness and the credibility of the play is all different than the other plays. This is a play that was famous because of his humor, the other plays weren't at all comedy, they were more serious and centered plays that could happen in the real world. In Midsummer night’s dream shakespeare even uses fairies and love potions during the play. In the other plays the most fictitious thing that was in Macbeth. With the witches macbeth found.
For example during hamlet it's all based on normal things that would happen in families of nobles. Someone would kill for power and then the son or another familiar would find out eventually thus starting a conflict of revenge. In the case of Midsummer night’s dream there isn't even an effort to disguise the play as reality. SHakespeare out of the bat he starts with fairies and love potions and human slaves (although the last one did happen in the real world).
In Othello there was this big scheme of betrayal that could totally happen in real life, maybe not the extent of Othello (or at least usually) but that situation wasn't that far off. Instead in Midsummer night’s dream it's just a play focus on humor.
